Our transition to the ERC Green Team & our collaboration with PROPS
Last Winter quarter 2012 the AIRC Green Team branched out to the other ERC'S. These include the Chicano/a-Latino/a Resource Center, the Asian American/Pacific Islander Resource Center and the African American Resource & Cultural Center. Currently one intern has been chosen from each center to attend weekly training's with a representative from Program Recognizing Offices Practicing Sustainability (PROPS). At these trainings the interns take part in workshops that involve waste management & reduction as well as energy conservation. Our ERC trainees will then present to their designated centers and their other student interns so they can implement these same sustainability practices.
The extension of the Green Team to the other ERCs is to build an awareness across more people and get the other centers used to making green practices a priority.
